On RetroPi you have two cores that are capable of running CPS2 games: MAME and FB Alpha. If someone know a tool to filter and select roms based on some data (region, date, genre, original/clone.) and create a curated library as needed (split file, with just the roms that i selected) so I can upload to my Retropie, I would it be very grateful. Probably i'm doing something wrong, since these softwares are quite obtuse. Why not use a tool like Romcenter? I don't know why, but Romcenter didn't catch my problem with the. Go though a tool like ClrMAME Pro to audit all of my roms against the final burn alpha 0.2.97.40.dat that supposedly is compatible with Retropie I'm going to install Winrar, use this, uninstall Winrar. supposedly they have this on a context menu. What I read is that I can use a command line argument on 7zip to make this work but for some unknown reason didn't worked out for me. Merge the two sets (copy both to the same directory, allow windows to overwrite all the same name files) Unzip EVERY game of the MAME Romset upgrade 0.177 -> 0.178 using the same method described above. (This is a very simple "drag with right click, select 7zip> unzip to \.*") Unzip EVERY game of the Romset, each to one folder. Looking for a way to do this in a full batch this can it be a problem. I unzipped the rom, added just the ddsom.key, re-zipped the rom and bingo! it was working. Tested one game, Dungeons and Dragons - Shadow over Mystara.

I'm still to find a comprehensive way to upgrade all the games of the Romset. Got the MAME Romset upgrade 0.177 -> 0.178.
